I have been looking around for a programmable thermostat for my Electric baseboard heaters before it gets too cold. I cannot find any programable thermostats that have a high enough current rating for my system. So any help anyone could offer would be very appreciated.
The specs of the heater:
20 Amp / 240 Vac
2 H.P. (not sure what this means)
CeilHeat INC
The current thermostat:
CHT-DI-22 AMP
125/250 VAC Only
CeilHeat INC

You could get a 20A relay , 24V /220V transformer and the 24V tstat. that would work for you.

That seems like alot to stuff into the electrical box thats in the wall. What is that price wize compared to some of the other setups? I saw some of the Line voltage systems for about $60 do you think this could be done for around the same price.

I just meant go there to find out what the cost was is all. Honeywell has a box with relay and transformer all in it could put it at the baseboard and feed back from the tstat. Or any of the relays for the AC compressor they come one leg or two legs close 220V by 24V coil
