The ol' fridge at our congregation has 'eaten' its inside light.
Put in a new bulb - nutt'n.
Checked the door sw. No power coming to it - nada.
Red wires to and from the switch; also, the freezer fan works!
If the door switch is getting no juice- what & where should I look next?
Sorry to note that I never noticed the brand of this ol'
beast. It's a top-freezer model with no light in the freezer -
a real basic model.
Appreciate any help whatever

Take the bulb out & check the center tab in recepticle. Could be its bent in too far & not making contact with the bulb. If thats the case, unplug fridge & carefully bend tab out with a small screwdriver. It might be the hot wire is going to the recepticle & the switch makes & breaks the neutral. Dave

You were right on the money, Dave!
The ol' "no-power-to-the-door-switch" trick had me looking at pulling wooly insulation outa this beast to trace a wire & it was the socket after all!
Another lesson loined.....
