I have several tools rusted beyond the fact I cant use them. I was wondering if anyone might know of a way to refurbish them into useable tools again. They are tools such as needle nose pliers, crescent wrenchs, wire pliers, pipe wrenchs, etc. Any help will be greatly appreciated cause without saying it will save me money from having to buy new ones.

As Tow Guy mentioned, http://www.bhi.co.uk/hints/rust.htm check this site out if you feel like experimenting. I've tried it on small car and bike parts works great. Use a plastic tub, a battery charger, baking soda, and I use an old BBQ steel grill. If you don't feel like trying this, use diesel fuel in a pail and let the tools soak. Good luck.

Whenever I happen upon a tool that is rusted I often wire brush/wheel the best I can and then let it soak in a mixture of motor oil and kero [or gas, paint thinner - whatever's handy :D]
