Hi all
I'm getting ready to install ceramic tile in my kitchen. I used self-leveing compound and it's not perfectly level slopes about 1/4 inch over an 8 foot section and has developed some hairline cracks. I'm going to use flat face cabinets with no recessed to kicks so I'd like the floor level so cabinet installation would go easier. Can I build up the low spots with thinset or would it be too thick (agout 1/4 inch in some places, maybe more.)

Are the hairline cracks anything to worry about. The subfloor is solid and should not be an issue but I dont want to be replacing tiles.

Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks
