dirty condensor coil, bad condensor fan motor/capacitor, over charge or restriction in refrigerant circuit.

Turn unit off and use a water hose. Try to wash from the inside to the outside of the coil. Inside coil there is a comb . You can get a foam cleaner to use on it. the main side to check is the in side where the air hits the coil first. Is it going off on high head on heat or cool

If it goes off on heat then its over charge or the coil is dirty in side. You say new filter but how old was the old one?? Is the blower clean check and see that the blades in the blower wheel or clean. Yes the fan will run inside if the outside unit shuts offon high head.

Have you noticed if the condensor fan motor slows down or stops running prior to tripping the high pressure reset?

the person who charged it came to look at my system, it was overcharged he charged me a service call for this visit, is this as hard to get rite start up charge in summer when it is not cool? was this fair to charge me because he had put too much in it before? thanks

No I dont think its right for him to charge you when he is the one that did it. But then how old is it? if you need freon then you have a leak didnt he look for it????. Now we still dont know if the inside coil is dirty. Are did hr check it???
