I am renting a house and I have a question about the ceiling fan. It is contected to the ceiling but the plug in is run along the ceiling and down the wall to a socket. The other wires are inside of it like they are suppose to be. Would the way that it plugs in be considered a fire hazard?

What type of cord is comming from the fan? How are the connections at the fan made?Paint a picture please.
