ok so in construction class i have to build a peice of furniture that we can use either in the workshop or in your bedroom. so basically any kind of furniture. but the only wood we can use is 3 boards of either 1x6x10' or 2x6x10'. i have no idea what to build. i thought a bench would be too common. i was thinking of building an adirondack chair. would i have enough wood for that. if need be, i might be able to use 4 boards.

You couldn't possibly build an adirondak chair from this amount of lumber. And unless you have built one before, you will be over your head while everyone else graduates. You can make something nice, simple from quality wood, and probably get a good grade to boot.
Why not buy 1x6 oak and make a bathroom step stool, with slatted top and angled slatted sides. Or you could build a shoe rack. As far as building "furniture" from a limited supply of wood, you would do better feeding the 5000 with just as much limited fish and bread.
Do you have access to a biscuit jointer? Planer? Table saw? Radial arm or cut off saw? Brad nailer and compressor?

A bathroom storage cabinet (sort of like an auxiliary medicine cabinet; hangs on the wall in a convenient place, such as over the toilet tank) is pretty straightforward and could be done with that quantity of material.

yeah thats what i hate about it. our supply of wood is so limited to do much. mostly others are just building little benches. but the only power tools that we have is a table saw, compoud miter saw, planer, brad nailer, jointer, table sander, and the sort.

if i do go for a bench then what would be an appropriate design?

keep in mind i can only use those 2 board sizes.

You have access to more power tools than the average DIYer, so you can make just about anything. The medicine shelf can be made of spruce if you plane it to 1/2" to give a little more narrow profile and a lighter look. You can rabbet the corners and dado the shelves, rabbet out a back inset and sneak in a piece of 1/8" luan for a back, or leave it open.
