Im traying to calculate how many electric basebord heaters are needed to replace an forced air oil furnace.
From a conversion table i get 15 KWH =51.000 BTU
Is it then correct to assume that 10 electric basebord heaters[1.5 KWH each.15 KWH total] can replace a 51.000 BTU forced air oil furnace?
Thanks a lot

Try this 1 Kwh==== 3415 BTU.
Also dont forget in the oil furnace you have a flue loss . In electric that is 100% in the home

Thanks Ed, I figure 20 % flue loss.
