I live in a home where the basement is not finished yet nor is it heated. I would like to put a corn stove down there to heat it but they are spendy ($1500-$2000). However, I live in an agricultural community and would like to support the local farmers by buying their corn to burn for the heat. My original plan was to put electric baseboard heat in. Which is my better option? I have 1600 sq ft. in the basement that needs heat. What is a good corn stove?
