I am running into trouble with a timer switch. I installed it a year or two ago and it just stopped working. Instead of hearing the relay?solenoid? move when I hit the button, I just see the error message "Noop. See Instr.".
The timer is an Intermatic SS8C (I haven't confirmed the model number, but that's what it looks like), but the manuals at the company's www site do not list this error in the troubleshooting section. I have not yet received a reply from their technical support people, so I was hoping someone here would have an idea what it means. Do I need to reset it somehow? Is it dead? Is there a power or battery issue? I can navigate the programming interface, but that is battery powered.
Unless someone has better info, I'll see if the light works when I replace it with a simple switch, but I can't do that until the weekend.

I must have been in a really cynical mood, essentially not waiting for a response from the company. Tech support responded very quickly and the only reason it took a day is that it took me a day to check that email account. It looks like the switch is dead and I'll be getting a new one. I don't usually like to pimp a brand, but Intermatic has good tech support. I'll be looking for them again.
