I have a 2 year old Trane XL16I heat pump. I have had no problems. What is the reccomendation on preventive maintainece service on these units? I was very happy with the dealer who did the installation, and he said I would receive a letter once a year to scheduele an appointment, but have never received one.
Thanks for advice on this issue.

About all is keep a clean filter in it every 30 to 90 day. Not over a MERV 5 is best. Make sure all sides around the condenser are clear and no bushes are near it to block air to the condenser coil.

Thanks. I do chnge the filter about every 60 days. Just want to make sure that I do not void the Trane warranty by not having some sort of service performed.
