Any ideas? I have a standard fluidmaster bullock and my tank won't fill because no water is flowing into the refill tube and instead is squirting out in small amounts from under the cap.
I removed the refill tube and blew into it to make sure it wasn't plugged up (it wasn't.)
I tried prying off the cap to see more, but I'm new to this stuff and didn't know if I'd break it or not since it didn't pop off easily.
Any advice would be welcome since it's our only bathroom (and it's the weekend.)
HELP!!!!!!!!

there are couple of steps to try and find out with the problem is;
first, turn the water supply off to the toilet, if what you have is a fluidmaster, there is a locking ring toward the base, pull it up and then pull up on the fluidmaster housing, the whole thing should pull out showing nothing but the supply tube for the fliudmaster,
carefully, while shielding yourself , turn the supply line to the toilet
to try and let the water blow out any debris that may be caught in the tube, note the pressure coming from the tube, if it is low, even
when turned up, that may be another problem, we will address that later, if it flows good, like if you took your hand off of it it would blow water to the ceiling, there is no problem in that part of the system. the easy thing to do is to take the old fluid master to the big box store and get a replacement and place it on the fill tube that is already in place in the tank. if the water pressure wasn't great when the fluidmaster was removed then the supply line or the cutoff valve may be clogged with debris.
get a bucket cut off the water supply, remove the supply line from the bottom of the fluidmaster that goes into the bottom of the tank, place the hose into the bucket and open the valve.
should be a lot of pressure, if not, you may need to get a plumber in there or let us know if you are willing to go a little deeper into this.

Will try it then. Thanks again for the quick response!

Only 2 choices with a fluidmaster. Replace the whole valve with new or just buy the little black diaphram and replace it.
Valves are cheap and you have to go to a store to buy the parts anyway, Just buy a new valve, takes 5 minutes to install, and forget about it.
Good luck...
