I have a Ademco Vista 10SE with a 6160V Control Panel. The system is not currently monitored and I just want to be able to use the current system. I have the installer code which is 6321 and my master code. I've read some of the threads about entering the programming mode however whenever I enter the the installer code + 8 + 00 nothing happens. I am looking to try and add two wireless receivers to replace the wired contacts on my front and back doors that stopped working after the doors were replaced.

I am receiving a check 09 zone 09 error on the display. Any help would be appreciated.

Check 09 means either your keypad isn't connected properly or you have a wireless receiver problem. It also means you could have a faulty expansion module (hardwire zone expander if applicable, ect). From what you described with the programming not going though, I'm banking on the keypad.

Make sure the wires inside your control panel going to your keypad are secure, not too lose but not overtightened. Do the same for the keypad itself. If needed, cut back the wiring a lil and strip yourself some fresh wire.

As far as adding wireless contacts, does the house already have other wireless devices? If so it should be no problem.

Feel free to drop more info if this doesn't work for ya.

Thanks.. I'll check the wiring on the control panel to see if that's it. I do have some wireless receivers and a wireless motion detector. There appear to be working but can't tell because my system will not show ready due to the faults on zone 1 and 2. Would the Check 09 not allow me to enter the programming mode?

If it's the keypad, then yes. If you're getting no sound when you press your keys, then it's either the sound for the keypad was turned off, or the more likely cause is that the keypad itself is not connected properly. Check what was posted earlier and see what you come up with.
