Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has some feedback on a problem that I've had with a sconce in the Rezek line. It was a pretty expensive set, where we paid nearly $700 for 4 fixtures. After having them up for about 8 months or so, one of the lights have gone out. I contacted the internet company that we purchased them from, and they opened up a claim with Rezek for having this fixed. I wanted to look at the assembly, and see if this is something that can be fixed without having to ship this back. All Rezek wants me to do is ship this back to their office, and they will look into it, and see what they can do. I tried calling their customer service in California, but they were all but useless. I was just trying to determine if this is something that I could fix myself, rather than ship the whole light back to California, and then wait 3-4 weeks to get a new one, or see if they can fix the old one.
So after looking at the assembly it looks like the transformer is the main thing that is included in the fixture. I went online, and it looks like I can get a 75watt transformer, that looks the exact same as the one that is in that unit, for $25. So my thought was to try getting one of those transformers, and trying it, and seeing if it fixes the problem. I can see that power is getting to the until, when I put a ohm meter up to the hot wire. Any thoughts on this.

Thanks.

As soon as you put the ohm meter up to the hot wires you convinced me that you do not know enough about electrical work to be doing anything safely on your own.

Send it back and hire a qualifed electricain to install it for you.

Jwhite,
I put a Radio Shack Digital MultiTester up to it, and set it to Volt settings for AC. It gave me a reading of 75 Volts when I had power going to it. Is it wrong to use that meter to test if power is coming to the fixture?

Then you did not use an ohm meter, you used a volt meter. What is the reading that you are supposed to get at the point that you got the 75 volts.
