Okay, let me preface my question with a little explaination about myself; When I buy new or replacement parts, I tend to lean toward quality, not price. I'd rather pay a little to fix something once and know it will last.

With that being said, I need to replace my toilet parts due to mineral buildup. When looking at parts at the local Lowes, Home Depot, etc., the quality of the parts seems "cheap".

My question is; can I get decent replacement parts from these home improvement stores, or should I just go to a plumbing supply store?

I have use the kit parts from them to rebuild many toilets and they have all worked fine over the years. The new kits you can like set the flapper for the water used.
