Price Pfister bathtub faucet developed a leak so I replaced the washers as this normally takes care of it. Still leaking so I replaced the stems and seats (applied pipe joint compound to the seats when installing them) thinking that now all is new again so this should for sure solve the problem. Nope, it is still slowly seeping so now I am wondering if something is cracked inside or ???
EDIT: How tight should you tighten the seat when installing it?
Hand tight then 1/4 turn or something like that. I am wondering if I overtightened the seats.

A seat will not go 1/4 turn past snug. It has machine threads, not pipe threads. I tighten snug, then a little tap on the wrench. I use teflon tape on the threads.
At this point, the easiest thing is to change the seats and washers again. If that doesn't fix it, then you have trouble. It is possible to have cracks in the body where the seat screws in, but this is pretty rare.
