Hi,
We have a shower with a single lever type handle (basic Moen). We rarely use this shower (guests have used it a few times). I happen to be in there cleaning something, and no matter where I turned the handle, it was extremely hot. I feel bad for the folks who took showers in there - no one told me!
Can I adjust the hot/cold water somehow?
If I need to turn off the water at all, how does one go about turning off water if there is no access to the shutoffs? Do I need to turn off the water to the house? [We have a well and so have a holding tank in our basement too].
Thanks!

Sounds as if the limit disc is out of position. Remove the handle and you will see a disc with a spline. Look on it and you will see the words, cold and hot. Pull out on the spline and turn it to the cold side a couple of notches at a time until the mix moderates and gives cold water where it should. Post back if this doesn't work, and we may have to dig further.

Thank you!! I will give that a try!! I don't have to turn off the water to do that, do I?
Thanks!

No, but good thinking.
