I am striping a table that has a couple of motor oil stains.
how do i go about removing them ...

Welcome to the forums

If the table has a decent finish on it [well sealed] the motor oil will be removed as you strip it. If the oil has soaked into the wood it may be quite difficult to completely remove it. Sanding, cleaning, washing with paint thinner, all will help.
