I put down a ceramic tile floor and undercut my doorjambs too much. I now have a 1/4 inch gap between my floor and and the bottom of my trim, any idea how I can fill in the gap?

Do like most do----- use a good grade of caulk. mold it right in.

Ok, I didn't think caulk would do that much of a gap.

Look around I have ran into some up to 3/4". Some of the workman ship in new homes would look so bad if they didnt have caulk to fill in and paint.

You may find 1/4" backer rod, put it in first, then caulk. It will help take up space so you don't have to use so much. I'm like Ed, I have punched houses that have horrible gaps, and these houses aren't cheap, just a bad with a backsaw. Sometimes the customer will change their mind on the type of tile and use a thinner one after the trim is cut, leaving a gap.

Thanks, our house is only 1 1/2 years old, I see the ones being built on our strreet and they put them up fast! It's interesting what you find when you start removing carpet and trim!
What about filling the void with expanding foam insulation, then trim it flush and caulk or paint?

Expanding foam insulation would be a very bad idea, IMO. They sell rolls of backer rod in the weatherstripping section of stores for just such a purpose- pushing into gaps to act as a backer for caulking.
