I came across a piece of unfinished furniture in my basement. There was a small amount of mold on it. I took a sander to it and was able to get 99% of it off. Should I worry about this very small amount of mold before I paint it?
Thanks in advance...

If you are concerned, you can wipe with bleach/water solution to disinfect. It is not likely the mold would cause a problem.

Yes I would worry about it.Location will play a big part in it,as will kind of wood.If you paint over the mold it will only grow on under the paint.depending on the kind of wood and location can you not sand some more? What about rubbing it down with a little bit of bleach?WARNING....bleach will alter the colour of the wood....but you are painting it,so you may get away with it.That's the best I can come up with....but there are lots of others out there who will come up with some good ideas

It should be fine from what you guys are saying. Like I said, there was barely any mold left after I sanded. Only spots were where my sander wouldn't get, and I hand sanded those spots. Thanks for the advice guys!
