I purchased a mahogany coffee table at a garage sale. I was told by the owner that it belonged to her parents. They were married in 1948 and purchased the table that year. It is pretty banged up, but I LOVE IT!! The table is solid mahogany, but the top is lifting pretty badly. I am not sure if it is a veneer or it's plastic....how can you tell?? If I don't want to replace the veneer is there another material I could use?
