I had my Tecumseh Vector 6.5 HP lawnmower engine serviced: new carb and fuel line, filters, etc. Now it starts very hard when cold. Have to prime it 20 to 30 times. What might the repair shop have overlooked or done wrong?

New carb as in out of the box, right? The bowl gasket might not be in place, allowing the primed air to escape rather than push fuel up the nozzle.

A new air cleaner mounting gasket is critical since the primer bulb is incorporated into the cleaner housing on these model series engines, Tecumseh part number 36048.
