I have a 5HP MTD Yard Machine rear tine rototiller. The ID plate normally located on the outside tine cover that has the model # for the machine is gone. I need to buy 2 rims/tires for this unit, and I have no way to identify the unit.

Also, I need to buy a carburetor for the machine. It has a 5HP Briggs and Stratton engine.

MOD - 135202
TYPE - 0759 A1
Code - 970106YA

When I type that infoormation into the B&S website, it says that the information is not recognized. Well, it is a B&S motor and those are the correct numbers!

Any help you guys/girls could give would be greatly appreciated!

498298 is the part # for the carb which should fit the engine # you posted.

Do you have the old wheels and tires?

Azis --

Thanks for the link.... normally I'm good navigating the websites. Guess I just hit a roadblock.

I do have the old wheels and tires.

The tires are bad (holes, no rubber) Size: 14.5 x 4.50 - 6

The rims were rusted bad and I had to torch/cut them off the axle.

I'd take the remains to a local shop or dealer, they should be able to pair ya up.

Thanks for the feedback.... I figured that would be the end result. I was trying the easy out to buy online and have it end up on my doorstep, but I guess a trip to the local shop wouldn't hurt.

As a sideline comment from a new guy on the site -- It rocks!

PPS -- As a man, I prefer to just look at the pictures....

The model # should begin with 21, if you go here
http://www.landscapepower.com/mtd.html
then click illustrated parts list, then on "Look up parts using manufactures catalogs" then select MTD and click the radio button "begins with" type in 21, you can look at all sorts of pics of tillers ;) Mite even find one what looks like yours :)
Parts descrip for the tire only will tell you what size.
