Lights in house dim when air conditioning comes on. Started last winter with when heat would come on. Could this be electrical or in my heat pump? Not sure whether to call electrician or Heating/Air???

Might check the power comeing into the home. All screws tight in the main panel and in the unit. Amp out the unit might could use a start kit . That you need a hvac tech for.

Tech said unit check out O.K....He said start kit was fine. Said start up amp out at 49 and my breaker is 50 amp. He recommended that I put a 60 amp breaker. He was suppose to come back but has not returned.
Question: Is it safe to up breaker amps from 50 to 60 and what would cause unit to start pulling more amps at start up. Assuming that because I never had any problems for the past 8 years with unit.
