About five seconds after the indoor compressor comes on, we hear a loud click (kind of sounds like a mouse trap going off). Is this a big problem? Is it a relay? Ideas???

You could shut the power off, open the unit up and check the blower wheel real good for foriegn matter in there.

Does your blower motor come on at the same time as the compressor? if not it It could be that coming on Or it could be the condenser fan motor coming on.
