DO NOT use acid based coil cleaners... they are very strong and reserved for extreme measures... if you MUST use a cleaner find one that is alkalyne based.. while a bit less abrasive make sure you get ALL the cleaner off, it will eat away at your coil.. and too be honest... (family has been in a/c, refrigeration buisness for 80 years) we rarely use a cleaner unless we have a heavy oxidation on coil.. its best once maybe twice a year to just hose your coil out with a garden nozzle, do not used a hard spray, usually hold nozzle in middle to get a strong mist cone pattern out of it.. and I rarely clean my condenser, you know why? I turn OFF my ac when I cut the grass... thats probably the main culprit for getting coil dirt, unless unit is by gravel/rock roads or alot of traffic going past it.
