I have a 1 1/2 ton coleman heat pump, about 2 months old. When the outside temperature gets above 95 degree,s, the condensor shuts off and will not restart again until the thermostat reset is pushed. It only draws about 8 amps (9.5 amps is normal) High pressure is about 195 psi and suction pressure is about 70 psi. when the outside temperature is 95 or higher. The thermostat is sending the voltage to run. I changed the defrost board, but that did not change anything. Anyone have any ideas? I have written to coleman but have not had a reply yet. Kralla.

I found the problem. It was a faulty high pressure switch. It is not supposed to open until 400 psi. Switch is being replaced. Thanks anyway. kralla
