My central AC is just blowing out air that's not cool at all. I went outside to check the unit and it's not running. Any advice on what to check? Add freon? Thanks all.

Check all breakers first. Is inside fan running??. 24V good to outside unit. tstat ok and calling for cool???? You have many many IFS IFS here. Need lots more info. What works and dont work ?

You should probably call a tech and see what he has to say, could be a number of things, first of you should reset the breaker to the unit. See if the outoor fan is running and if the compressor is running ( should be a low humming sound). But there's a good chance it shut off for a reason, so this should only to see if those are running, get a tech in to check.
