I'm building a deck with a screened in porch. I was just goin to use decking over the whole thing and then out outdoor carpet down in the screened porch area. I was thinking it might be better (and cheaper) to put down OSB or plywood in the porch are with the carpet on top. Is there a problem with that? Any pitfalls or extras I need to be aware of? Thanks.

If the room were built with solid walls thre would be no problem. BUT, with a screen room, stay with the decking. It'll cost more, but it will last longer -- several times longer. How often do you want to go through replacing this?
