Anyone ever hear of this product?

I have a Trex deck with white railing. I want to conceal the apron of the deck, which, of course, is made out of pressure treated 2x10s. I'd like those members to be white, but don't want to paint them.

Can I just apply this white vinyl Duraflash over the pressure treated wood using stainless screws? It says it's made especially for pressure treated. But my application would use it not as a flashing but more as a covering, so I'm not worried about water, etc.

Anything I need to be aware of? It looks great. Your answers are appreciated.

I'm assuming that this "Duraflash" is vinyl trim coil, and they call if a flashing just because of the width. (Trim coil comes in 24" wide rolls of 50' each.) Your "Duraflash is probably only 12" wide.

As long as it's just vinyl coil, it'll work just fine. The PT won't bother it at all. Good call on the stainless fasteners!

(Tips -- use just enough fasteners to hold it in place. The less you nail it, the better it will look. Install it on one of the hottest days of the year, at the hottest time of the day. Apply double stick tape at your overlapped joints (NO NAILS THERE), keeping it just on the vinyl. The coil will get cool and shrink. It will elongate the nail holes when it does that. When it reheats and expands, it'll have a place to go.)
