Kenmore Model 110.92581220
Over 10 Yrs Old
Stopped spinning.
I removed the motor and I can see the problem but do not know what the part name is - It's black rubber (not a belt) 2 inches - almost circular and lookes like it sits on a white plastic disc that has broken pegs that should extend into the black part. I want to remove the tranny and take it to a store to get an exact replacement part.
How do I take out the tranny??? I'll attach pictures - in one I am holding this black part. Note the motor is out and you are looking at the washer from the bottom (I laid it on it's back).
Oh no - I can't attached pictures.
this is the black thing between the motor and tranny that is shot

That's the best reference I have had. Unfortunately I was too eager and jumped the gun and though I had to take the tranny out because the one part of the coupler I could not pry off the tranny. I was going to bring the entire tranny to a shop and have them pry it off..... well I broke the seal on teh tranny and made a huge mess. Now the local appliance shop tells me that it's not a good idea to try to replace the tranny fluid or even the entire tranny... just get a new machine.
Can the tranny fluid be replaced? I'm guessing I lost it all or just about all of it - at least a couple cups are on my floor.
