I am trying to come up with a better layout for my master bath remodel. <a href ="http://64.187.40.200:99/Design/bathdes2.jpg" TARGET="_blank"> Here </a> is ther current layout. I would like to incorporate a jacuzzi tub, custom shower and vanity in the new layout while keeping the same footprint. I am hoping to not have to move the toilet.
I have come up with a couple of options:
<a href="http://64.187.40.200:99/Design/bathredes2.jpg" TARGET="_blank">Option 1</a>
<a href="http://64.187.40.200:99/Design/bathredes3.jpg" TARGET="_blank">Option 2</a>
Does anyone have any comments/suggestions? Is there another layout that may use the space better?

If you don't mind the current set up of all the items, the easiest way is to just replace the current tub with the new tub. They make rectangular ones that can fit up to two people. If you want a corner tub, I would still leave it in the same location as the current tub if the one you want fits between the wall and the shower. The water lines won't have to be moved because you can just use the existing ones as well as the drain. The only major part is building the shelf and making sure the tub surround matches the existing bathroom unless you were planning to retile the entire bathroom.
I didn't like the Option 2 because it is next to a window, and if your house is close to your next door neighbor they may be able to look into you bathroom while you're in there (California track home problem. Friend didn't realize it when she bought her house. When she moved in and befriended the neighbor's wife, she was informed of the sad news. Now whenever she takes a bath she has to make sure the blinds are closed just to prevent temptation for the neighbor's teenage son).
Option one looks good, but are you sure you want to move the shower. That is lots of work.
Good luck.

I am not really thrilled with the current layout and am looking to change it. Having a bath under the window is not an issue as it is about 3 storeys up and only the birds flying past may have a peep show. Given I already have plumbing in every corner of the room, I did not figure it would be too difficult to swap fixtures in these locations (other than the toilet), but please correct me if I am wrong!
