Get all the blue paint chips you can; pick one that matches the carpet most closely, and a few others that you like with the carpet, that don't match exactly. [If the chips are three on a card, cover all but one color at a time. And label the one that is an exact match.]
Go to a fabric store, ideally one with really expensive fabric; find a fabric with COLORS you like [ignore the pattern] with the exact match as a secondary or tertiary color, or with one of the other blues as a primary or secondary color, and buy a test swatch. There's your palette.
If you are going to make anything [curtains, pillows, slip-covers], go to a reasonably priced fabric store; buy at least two co-ordinating materials in the same palette.
Blues look great with the soft oranges, [peach, coral] and a touch of green [sage; I don't like mint with blue]. I think the basic for this scheme would be cream, not white.
If you want white, I think for the warm color you'll have to go to the other side of red [mauve] OR the other side of orange [yellow-orange].
But trust the palette in the fabric.

your question is very vague....."blue carpet, need color to match"!
do you LIKE the blue carpet or not? what shade of blue is it? what pieces do you have that you need to work with & incorporate, or is absolutely everything going to be new (doubtful)? what sort of style/mood do you want? is this a dark room or does it get lots of good light?
sorry, but we, at least "I", need more info to help you! otherwise my answer will be "beige!" ;)

Have you thought of using a paint that is white, but with a slight blue tinge? The lighter color on the walls will open up the room and make it appear larger, whereas if you go with a color to match the darker carpet, it will make the room sem smaller....
