I am buying Aprilaire 600 Bypass humidifier.
1. I am not sure where should be installed on the RETURN or SUPPLY.
2. How high should the humdifier on the duct
3. I got a Goodman Circuit Board B18099-13. I am not sure if the HUM is 24V? and what is rating on the 24V?
Thanks

It makes no differece return or supply on a bypass, but it must be perfectly level, not just side to side, but front to back also to work correctly, on the top of every bypass humidifier is a distribution tray that allows water to flow through channels to drip across the pad, if the unit is not level, all of the water will go down the corner of the pad and be wasted, if it tips forward or backward, the water will pour into the duct, or out the front.before you cut a hole in the supply plenum make sure you know where the A- coil is, I've been in HVAC for or 24 years and I've fixed a lot of coils cut into by do it your selfers, a new coil cost between $350 and $800. The Hum on your board is high voltage, atach the black wire from the 24 volt transformer that came with your april aire' to hum, and the white wire to nuetral, then run 18 gauge wire from the 24 volt side to your humidistat, also, if you use the out door temp. sensor, keep the wire away from any high voltage wires, like your air conditioner 220. it works on resistence and will pick up an electrical flux off of high voltage wires.

I perfer the unit itself on the return itself. That way if there happen to be a problem with the unit itself, it will keep the water away from the furnace.
