Somehow I didn't think this would be that difficult to find but it appears that it is.

What I want is a washer that will do a prewash on cold and then a regular wash on hot with an extra rinse.

I've had my eye on the Kenmore HE3 for awhile with it's "custom" program but I when I went to sears today I was told that the prewash is at the same temperature as the regular wash with no way to change it.

for better or worse my wife has decided on using cloth diapers for the iminent arrival. This is the recomended cycle for cleaning. With our current washer this will mean three trips to the basement before she can put anything in the dryer, which is a bit too much hassle.

thanks for any info.
