Kenmore front load washer, model # 417.43142300. Date of manufacture 11/03. Clothes (whites) going gray. I run whites seperate from darks and colors - in hot,warm or cold water. I am using the regular cycle with the extra rinse. Have tried several different He detergents in varying amounts and three or four chlorine and nonchlorine bleaches but the laundry keeps getting more gray. I didn't have this problem with an older GE top loader. The water is softened. There is no problem with odors. The cycles appear to run properly.
The problem appears to be too little water in the drum at both the wash and rinse cycles. I have had Sears repair and an independent repair company out to service. Both techs say that the laundry being wetted but not cycling in a volume of water is correct. They also agree that my white laundry is quite gray but offer no solutions. --Tucson, AZ
