Hello.
I am new to this forum. I'd like any helpful information pertaining to my situation. I have a bi-level home which my entrance is 3 steps north, about a 10 foot sidewalk west which leads to my porch. On one side of the sidewalk there is ground that meets it. On the other side there was a flower bed in which helped secure the walk. Also, my driveway sits next to this flower bed (the 3 steps go down to it which means that there is low ground on the other side of the sidewalk). However, I recently started doing away with the flower bed and noticed that the sidewalk is barely secure underneath. I considered pouring a concrete retaining wall, but I don't know if that is possible and will make the walk secure. I'd really rather have the walk taken out along with the steps and maybe just put steps up to the porch. I will be doing the job on my own as I cannot afford to pay anyone, plus I have the confidence to attempt this but I'd appreciate any input.
