Doors and Windows - Warped Masonite Doors

Has anyone every had a problem with warped panels on Masonite hollow core 2 panel interior doors? We bought these doors about 6 months ago when on sale, and are now having them painted. The door were store in a basement, but the basement was not wet or damp. If you run your hand over the panel, you can feel a definite "waviness". Is that normal, and can I expect it to unwarp as the moisture in the door stabilizes? I'd like to know if I should submit a warranty claim.

They warped because you stored them in the basement and they drew moisture. Even though the basement isn't wet or damp, the humidity is higher there than it is on the main floor of the house, and chances are that the temperature is lower.

No, the "waviness" won't go away. And no, it isn't a warranty claim. It has nothing to do with the way the doors were made, it's all about the way that they were stored.

You might try using some weight to pull the warp out of the doors, might work, no garuntee. This is one of the reasons that you should always paint the tops and bottoms of doors.
