Has anyone ever used bamboo panels or flooring on walls in a bathroom instead of ceramic tile? We haven't seen it done, but love the idea of it instead of ceramic tile. Please let me know!
Thanks for your time. :cheshire:

Never heard of it, but you could do it. Just not in the wet areas. You would definitely have water infiltration. In the dry area it may look ok. You will tire if the wood soon, however.

personally i think this can look really nice but i haven't seen any bathrooms with bamboo flooring or walls. I know some manufacturers dont provide warranty for bamboo products that are installed in bathrooms since they can swell with moisture over time.

We just saw some wood showerhead enclosures that were treated with marine grade sealer/urothane. That might work! We'll see what happens... :)
