Guys
I have a sump pit in the garage which i dont need anymore...I was going to fill it up with concrete, is about 3 feet deep, 1 ft in diameter....But then i realized that i can fill it up with soil, clay and concrete on top....I dont know how slabs and foundations are made from...I mean these three materials all i need, or do i have to use gravel too....I can just fill it with concrete and save money but will it cause any pressure buildup underneath?
Any help is appreciated...

I wouldn't use soil or clay simply because of the settlement issues. I would go with some kind of rock or sand. I suppose you could just use concrete but rock should be much cheaper. I assume your not worried about filling any of those sump laterals up.

Compact damp sand and cover with 2" concrete so you can get at if in case you ever want to.
