I have three year old side-by-side GE refrigerator that doesn't seem to ever shut off. I began keeping an eye on it when I noticed our electric bill was high for this time of year. i would come downstairs in the morning when no one has opened it for several hours and it would still be running. I was wondering if refrigerators need to be recharged or any other maintenace needs to be done time to time besides cleaning the grill.

1. Make sure a light bulb is not staying on with the door closed.

2. Put a thermometer in the freezer part and in the refrigerator part. Let us know the readings.
