i have a big screen toshiba,1999, model tz43v61.we went on vacation and came home and turned on the tv and you hear it click on but the screen stays black and the red light beside the power button starts flashing.any ideas???????

It really is an easy job. There's a company called HB electronics that has the same part #s for only $14/ea.

Mine is doing the same thing. It is a tw40x81 and I THINK it was made in 2000. We just bought it used, it worked for 2 days, now this.

I have read all of the posts that I can find on it, but I would really like to find some instructions - what does the part look like? Is it easy to do for a beginner? Thanks!

I just sent you a PM. There are 2 of these parts, which are identical. They should be on the furthest left circuit board. They stand vertically, and have 20 pins each.

Have you tried to copy/paste the link I provided to your address bar. There's plenty of info there.
