I have a Jenn-Air W27400B wall oven with digital controls and display. Recently the display became dim and finally went dark. The oven worked otherwise. I was able to get the display back (still very faint) by cycling the power to the oven. I don't know how long it will last. Does anyone have ideas what is happening?
I have found control/display units for about $150. I am reluctant to try one in case the problem is really something related to a power supply/adapter internal to the oven.
I also recently replaced a 10 year old GE microwave with Panasonic inverter microwave. These are both counter-top units that are built-in with trim kits. The microwave is immediately above the Jenn-Air. I mention this because the Panasonic throws out much more electronic noise (kills 802.11b WLAN) than the old GE did. Also because the GE microwave started failing in the display along with the controls.
Any ideas are welcome,

Well, no help.
I placed my bet and replaced the controller/clock today and the display is now uniformly bright and working.
Before the LEDs were not uniformly lit. For example, the number one would appear as a vertical line with lighter and darker areas (8 I think). The display on my other oven now appears dim and un-uniform by comparison -- guess more repairs in the near future.
I was hoping that someone would respond to my post before I made my bet with the controller. This reply may help someone else looking for a solution to the same problem.
