Anyone know of website or such I can get infor, diagrams on DIY VHS cassette repairs? I have some that wil not rewind or play, both from my library and brand new. Does not matter which VCR I put them in.
Tried using the pencil in the hole release, but to no avail. They stay frozen or locked.

Try this. Turn the tape upside down.there should be 5 screws that hold it together remove them.turn the tape over and remove the top cover. If theres a label on the tape use a box cutter to cut the label at the seam of the tape.Remove the top.It won't come off with out a fight so be carfull don't want the tape wheels falling out.Remove the tape wheels Note how the ribbin goes in the tape. .check to see if the ribbin is jamed in the wheels of if the casstte is to blame.Did any thing spill on to the tape like soda or something like that.
