I bought and ac unit second hand, i looked in the owners manual, but the manual isn't for the exact model# i have so i can't find and answer, for what it is. It has 2 levers under the control panal, one changes the direction of out comeing cool air (ok). The
other one when you move it left or right, it covers, or exposes a little hole about 1" sq. to the back of the unit:wall: Does anybody know what this does:madhell:

It brings in outdoor air.

Most unit, the "vent" is to blow out air from the home, to bring in fresh air else where. My advise, keep it closed. You are blowing air that you paid to cool outside.
