Greetings,
I am remodeling my house. One aspect removed a kitchen wall. All existing laminate from the (then smaller) kitchen and halfway into the adjoining room was carefully removed and stored. However the remodel expanded the square footage. I have (at some expense) located and purchased more of the original brand/style of laminate.
My question is this: How should I try to integrate the new with the old? Should I try to alternate old and new boards? I realize that whatever I do will not be overly attractive, but I'm not willing to replace the entire floor (which spans into two other rooms via a hallway). It's basically a continuous floor now (where there used to be a wall), but I don't have enough of the old planks.
If not commingling... what is the best option for a transition?
Thanks in advance for any advice!

you've gotten more of the exact old flooring, but the new stuff is just another lot? surely they're not THAT different. just mix it all up.
