I have a 1997 Zenith tv which has suddenly stopped displaying channels 2-47 and 95. It will display 48-70. When it does a channel search, it only finds 48-70. I connected another set to the same cable and it displays 2-95.

What could be the problem? Should I try to get fixed, or junk?

Model number is SY2738RK3.

Can you go into the menu and make sure someone didn't lock them out of that tv ?

Check that item. None locked out. Thanks for the reply.

if you have cable tv ,then you need to auto program your tv for sometimes tvs losse there memory when it is disconnected or first time being plugged in.go to settings or menu and find cable or air signal an d select cable and hit auto program.then you should sit back let it lock in to those chnls.good luck:)

I have done as you suggested and the set only finds the channels as stated in my original post. Is my set ready for the TV cemetery?

Not a pro and definitely don't know much about your tv and/or cable...

Probably a dumb suggestion or even thought, but is there a remote and can you pick channels from the remote? If so...don't have a funeral yet.

IT could be the tuner is hosed on low and mid-band.

Thank you all for the replies. Still trying to decide. Do not want to waste money on trial-and-error parts replacement.
