I am installing maple cabinets. I would like to ask what size, length, and thread screws should I use to mount the Cabinets to the wall, and also screw the cabinets together with. The stiles are 1 1/2 thick. Also what size pilot bit sould I use? I was planning on 2 1/2 long #10 flat head to screw into the stud and 2 1/2 long #6 flat head to screw the cabinets together. Is this correct?

I was just looking at the installation instructions from a manufacturer. For cabinets they suggest #10 2.5-inch trusshead screws with a 3/16-inch pilot hole.

For attaching together, they suggest #8 1.25-inch, 1/8-inch pilot hole. They don't give a type of screw, but trim head would be more attractive if they are exposed (not covered by hinges as in some cabinets)
But this manufacturer doesn't use the vertical members (styles?) on their cabinets, so a 1.25-inch is adequate. Yours may need a longer screw.
