Hi all,
We're adding a 2nd bath and will do a custom shower to best use our space. I'm not sure whether it would be best to do a custom pan or pour our own. It looks like I can get the custom one for about $300. it'll be 32x48" or slightly longer. I'm not sure what it would cost to make the shower floor myslef in terms of time and $. I've never done it before. Can someone share with me what you think? What might it cost to create from scratch? Is it worth the effort? How much effort is it?
thanks
Mark

Check out this link for whats entailed to construct your own pan.

Advantages to constructing your own pan are that you can make it whatever size you want and choose the tile you like. IMHO a custom pan done right will last a lifetime. Is it worth the effort - heck when your done with it youll think so. Cost will vary based on the materials you decide to use but probably wont be much more that the prefabbed pan.:)
