I have just recently bought a dining set that is made of parawood and has a dark mahogany finish.

A couple of days ago I was spray painting something in the kitchen, and although the area was well ventilated the epoxy spray paint mist found its way into the dining room and settled over my dining set.

I didn't notice until last night when I lifted away something that was on the table and noticed the square underneath it looked much different than the rest of the table.

Is there any way that I can clean off this paint mist without ruining the table? It seems to come off a bit if I rub it with a paper towel really hard, but the wood is still left looking rather dull.

Any ideas would be welcomed. I am so sad about this!

Thanks.

I would try the paper towel to see if it continues to work. With any luck, the epoxy settled onto the wax finish on the table. This will keep it from bonding to anything other than the wax. After you rub the epoxy off, just rewax your table as usual.

Hope this helps.
